"Fabulous Find -- 'Sue-Bah' Reprint by R.C. Gorman"

I went scavenging through a local thrift store with a friend today.  Today's "Fabulous Find" is a reprint of R.C. Gorman's "Sue-Bah."  It is a 5X7 print in a gold-tone frame with glass and double mat to pull out the colors of the print.

It is a beautiful reprint from an original of the R.C. Gorman "Sue-Bah". Navajo Gallery -- Taos, New Mexico. Beautiful, colorful, detailed print of a Navajo woman sitting in a reclining position.

"R.C. Gorman has been called the "Picasso of the Southwest". He is an artist known all over the world. His works are in many museums and he is represented by galleries throughout the U.S. and in Europe. His style is uninhibited and free flowing with a color sense that captivates the eye of the beholder. When asked how he wants to be remembered, he replies 'that I was a hard worker, that I cared about the people.'"

"An Early Christmas Gift -- Snowman Cookie Jar"

I received an early Christmas gift from my mother yesterday ... a "Snowman Cookie Jar" from Macy's Christmas 'Home for the Holidays' collection.  Stop by for a homemade treat next holiday season ... he'll be dispensing cookies from his spot at the center of my kitchen table.  I've got a few months to actually bake those goodies ... I'm dreaming of Peanut Butter Blossoms, Chocolate Chip, Italian, Sugar, and what-have-you cookies to fill his and your bellies!

"Fabulous Find -- Lefton 'Holly' ('Candy Cane')

I discovered a few overlooked pieces of Lefton's "Holly" ("Candy Cane") Christmas settings while working at a charity garage sale this weekend.  Several of the donated pieces had to be discarded because of chips, cracks, and other damage.  It's a pleasure to have been able to save a few vintage pieces. (NOTE:  You may know Lefton as the maker of one line of the vintage "Birthday Angels of the Month.")

"GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED

SEND THESE, THE HOMELESS, TEMPEST-TOST TO ME,
I LIFT MY LAMP BESIDE THE GOLDEN DOOR!"

Avon's Statue of Liberty Centennial Porcelain Bowl, dated 1886-1986,
has the Liberty Torch centered in the bottom of the bowl and Lady Liberty's
welcoming message inscribed inside the rim.  This bowl is made of fine
